Eames Rosewood 670/671

.
The Eames Lounge Chair and ottoman, correctly titled Eames Lounge (670) and Ottoman (671) were released in 1956 after years of development by designers Charles and Ray Eames for the Herman Miller furniture company. It was the first chair the Eames designed for a high-end market. These furnishings are made of molded plywood and leather. Examples of these furnishings are part of the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art. I am selling two of these Chairs and ottomans please look for the other auction if you are interested in the pair. Up for bid is a Fantastic example of a Mid Century Modern design icon - the Eames 670/671 Lounge Chair and Ottoman. This Chair is from the late 70's and features Brazillian Rosewood. The grain patterns are Superb! I would describe the condition of this set as Very Good with some minor signs of age. There are a few small chips on the corner and one small scuff on the back of the chair which is to be expected with a classic that is 30 years old. This does not in any way take away from the overall beauty of this set. The leather, I would describe as NEAR MINT - VERY GOOD. It is clean and supple and has been well cared for in its life. I have More photos please email me if you want to see more. I uploaded the maximum amount. This Chair has been profesionally repaired Jim Moulton at 2nd sight Furnishings. The Chair is 100% structurally sound. I recently purchaced this pair from the original owner who was an engineer.
